Tomlinson is seeking to hire a Property Maintenance Lead Hand to oversee the day-to-day operations of the maintenance and landscape team. This position will be working at various locations across the Ottawa region. This position will be working full-time, year-round for all season work.

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Train and lead a team of landscapers and students, providing direction, support and performance feedback
- Coordinate the activities of landscapers to ensure efficient and safe operations
- Inspect and evaluate the work of the crew to ensure that it meets quality standards
- Handle and resolve customer complaints related to maintenance and landscaping services
- Drive company vehicle and tow trailer to various sites as required
- Operate Snow equipment and use hand shovel to remove snow
- Perform minor repairs and maintenance procedures on equipment utilized for the position
- Perform grounds keeping and building maintenance duties
- Cut lawn using hand, power or riding mower and trim and edge around walks, flower beds, and walls
- Sweep walkway of debris
- Perform minor repairs and maintenance procedures on equipment utilized in groundskeeping
- Rake, mulch, and prune the grounds as needed
- Other duties and maintenance will be done from time-to-time

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a lead hand role in maintenance or landscape work
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Valid G driver's license with a clear driving abstract; reliable transportation to work is required
- Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Availability to work flexible hours, on-call snow removal, including weekends and holidays
- Must be able to operate equipment including a tracker with a snow blower attachment
- Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions
