**How will you contribute?**

The Lead Hand, Maintenance Services is responsible to support the Supervisor of Maintenance Services with the work assignments and the amount and the quality of the services provided by the Maintenance staff. The incumbent receives instructions from their immediate supervisor about the priorities and the general work plan.

The General Public to staff one (1) indeterminate full-time position and one (1) determinate full-time position of twelve (12) months in the Property and Services Directorate.

This selection process may be used to staff determinate or indeterminate positions at the same level with similar requirements.

**Prerequisites**
- Successful completion of secondary education or an acceptable combination of education, training and relevant experience;
- Experience coordinating, prioritizing and assigning tasks and duties;
- Experience in a role focused on maintenance;
- Expert knowledge of industry standards, techniques, practices and processes involved in the provision of maintenance services;
- In-depth knowledge of cleaning principles, methods, products and equipment;
- Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety regulations and Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHIMS);
- Strong leaderships skills with the ability to communicate in both official languages (English and French);
- Ability to coordinate teamwork and adjust schedules according to priorities and unforeseen situations;
- Basic knowledge using computer (i.e. Microsoft Outlook, Words, Excel)
