Kitchener, Canada Premier Project Consultants Ltd. Full time

**Responsibilities**:

- Review proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate
- Prepare estimates of the cost of materials, labour and equipment for a construction project
- Perform quantity take-offs, material price lists updating, ordering materials and equipment, organize manpower
- Establishing and maintaining the tendering(bidding) process
- Knowledge of modern building construction methods and materials and of the preparation of specifications
- Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors and subcontractors
- In-depth understanding of residential high-rise construction practices and techniques
- Interpret architectural, structural and topographic drawings
- Maintain files of working documents to substantiate the estimate
- Review the daily progress of the project and ensure it is financially on track and on schedule.
- Assist with subcontract negotiations and awards under the direction of and with the approval of the project manager by creating and maintaining spreadsheets.

**Requirements**:

- Post-secondary education in construction or engineering from an accredited university or college
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in project coordination in the construction industry
- Experience with high rise residential is considered an asset
- Strong knowledge of building codes and the divisions of construction
- Excellent time management skills, attention to detail, and the capacity to prioritize by assessing situations to determine urgency
- Working knowledge of JONAS software and proficiency in other required software such as Procore and Microsoft Office.
- Experience utilizing AutoCAD for estimating and design/drafting
- Must have means of transportation for site visits
- Ability to work under tight deadlines
