The annual departmental operating budget totals around $14.5 million with approximately $11 million in research funding. The department currently has an enrolment of 202 graduate students, 221 undergraduate students in honors, specialization, and general programs, and 2511 undergraduate students registered in junior level courses. The department teaches approximately 247 course sections, with between 5,000 - 7,000 individual registrations. The Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences is also home to seven museum collections, five research service units, and state-of-the-art facilities to support the research and teaching mission.
