The Department of Decision Sciences invites applications for an entry‑level, full‑time, tenure‑track appointment in Management Science at the rank of Assistant Professor, commencing July 1, 2026, subject to final budgetary approval. The department is interdisciplinary, specializing in quantitative research methods, supply chain management, operations research, economics, insurance and risk management, data analytics, and decision research. Responsibilities:• Teach existing undergraduate courses in management science, information systems, and business analytics, and help develop additional courses in this area.• Conduct high‑impact research aligned with management science or a closely related field.• Build and foster industry relations and promote the student co‑op program within Alberta and beyond.• Serve on departmental and university committees as required. Qualifications:• A terminal degree (or close to completion) in Management Science or a closely related field such as business analytics, technology management, information systems, or decision sciences.• Evidence of an ongoing research stream in management science or a closely related field (e.g., artificial intelligence, financial management, economics, blockchain technology).• Strong teaching portfolio and philosophy, recent teaching evaluations, or comparable evidence.• Professional/industry experience in a Canadian context will be highly desirable.
