**Job Summary**
**Duties**
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and measuring spices.
- Cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards while ensuring consistency in taste and quality.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations, utensils, and equipment.
- Follow food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures to ensure the health and safety of all guests.
- Assist in menu planning and development by providing input on seasonal ingredients and dish ideas.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation during peak service hours.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and communicate needs to management.
- Participate in training new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and safety protocols.
**Requirements**:
- Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety standards.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
- Familiarity with serving techniques and meal presentation is a plus.
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while prioritizing responsibilities.
