**About the Role**

This pivotal position oversees Recruitment and Human Resources while supporting Safety & Compliance efforts. As a key player in our operations, you will drive recruitment strategies, ensure seamless onboarding, and uphold workplace safety standards—all while fostering a strong company culture.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Oversee the recruitment process and ensure company policies and requirements are met an exceeded when hiring staffing for our unique operation. This encompasses our satellite yards across Ontario.
- Work directly with H&S Manager and assist of overseeing H&S program, Incident investigations, and preparing required project safety documents.
- Ensure that the company runs and abides by the Employment Standards Act of Ontario. Keep us free and clear of all litigations and unwarranted complaints.
- Monitor company analytics to track the recruitment process and see that employee retention is managed in a proficient manner.
- Support the operation of compensation processes for hourly employees (ie annual pay reviews).
- Establish and maintain positive and professional working relationships with all staff.
- Monitor all aspects of Safety & Compliance for the company across Ontario.
- Implement formal reprimands & terminations, must be comfortable with the process and very thorough and detailed.
- Be experienced with Workplace Safety & Insurance Board policies and effective file management, as to keep the company in solid standings.
- Experienced with the COR2020 process and ISO 45001 the intricate workings to ensure our accreditation in continued.
- Work closely with insurance carriers when accidents occur. Must be proactive in keeping accidents and overall claims to a minimum.

**Qualifications**:

- 3 plus years experience in human resources and safety & compliance field. Special consideration given to applicants with experience in construction.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field is asset.
- Experience with working with unionized workers.
- Strong business communication skills, both oral and written.
- Dedicated work ethic and integrity while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.

**Schedule**:

- 40 Hour Work Week
- Day Shift
- Monday to Friday

**Pay**:

- Pending Experience
- $65,000-75,000

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Work Location: Toronto & Vaughan

Expected hours: 40 per week
