The **Bilingual** **Disability Claims Administrator** is responsible for providing administrative support and assistance to the Disability Claims department to enable its smooth operation by responding to general client and member inquiries, and preparing specific group reports on a weekly, monthly, or quarterly basis.

**The Bilingual Disability Claims Administrator will**:

- Generate attendance management, early intervention, sick leave disability claims, and other claim related reports and charts.
- Ensure the accuracy of plan member personal information in database systems.
- Review disability claim forms to ensure necessary identification information is outlined and form(s) are signed/dated.
- Review all generated reports to ensure they're are sent to the correct location and individual.
- Consult senior team members or policy manuals to determine the best course of action as required.
- Respond to clients, members, or other external contacts in a prompt, efficient, and courteous manner**.**:

- Prepare correspondence using company standard templates for members, administrators, carriers, or clients.
- Explain to members the procedures required to ensure a disability claim review can occur**.**:

- Liaise between plan administrators, claimants, policyholders, consultants, and insurers.
- Follow up on anticipated external corrections.
- Inform the manager of any issues which arise out of the course of daily work.
- Restrict access to confidential information pertaining to the company and its stakeholders.
- Electronic data and document maintenance to include scanning, faxing, filing, data entry and any processes required to prepare documents for these actions.
- Verify work and data in the scope of the position for accuracy and completion.
- Dispatch, receive, and sort correspondence.
- Assist with Disability Management Committee meetings (booking, sending invites, sending the agenda and minutes, plus document preparation.

**To be successful as the Bilingual Disability Claims Administrator you will need**:

- To uphold strict confidentiality as you will have access to a range of confidential information.
- The ability to stand up well under pressure.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work and multi-task to ensure effective time management.
- Excellent grammatical, spelling, and communication skills in both official languages.
- The ability to maintain excellent public relations both within and outside the organization.
- Strong judgement and critical thinking skills; may be required to record new procedures which have been developed or implemented, will be required to exercise judgement in various situations ensuring that all work is completed in a timely and accurate fashion in order to meet deadlines.
- 2+ years relevant work experience or equivalent experience in an office or administrative role
- Bilingual (French/English)
- Secondary school Diploma required
- A strong vocabulary of medical terminology
- Experience in Insurance an asset
- Strong computer skills with solid knowledge of MS Office and web
