Construction Claims Coordinator

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Reporting to the Claims Specialist, the construction claims coordinator will assist project managers with the preparation and defense of claims for all RWT construction business units
- Assist project teams with compiling data, records, schedules, and arguments in support of claims
- Perform quantitative analysis of additional costs, lost productivity, and delays
- Assist project teams with schedule time impact analysis and delay analysis
- Ensure project teams comply with notice requirements
- Assist project teams and accounting department with Construction Act compliance
- Perform pre-tender contract reviews and risk analysis
- Support Project Managers and Coordinators in proper project management techniques and training to mitigate claims

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Degree/Diploma in Technical Writing, Legal Administration, Commerce, Engineering, or similar experience
- 5+ years of construction experience, preferably in civil works
- On site experience and construction project process knowledge
- In-depth understanding of construction contracts and the Construction Act
- Thorough knowledge of Tomlinson organization and its processes
- Ability to train and educate stakeholders on process, contract, and legal changes
- Logical thinker with excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Experience in claims preparation and dispute resolution
