**full-time Manager of Regional Development.**

**The Regional Development Network (RDN) is a provincial non-profit**
**organization dedicated to enhancing the socio-economic development of**
**English-speaking communities across the province of Québec. Supported by a**
**network of regional English-language organizations, RDN collaborates with**
**federal, provincial, and local governments as a way to represent needs and**
**challenges and create projects and partnerships. RDN is funded by the**
**Secrétariat aux relations avec les Québécois d’expression anglaise.**

Job description:
Primary

**Responsibilities**:

- In collaboration with the executive director, develop a knowledge base of programs within different ministries of the provincial and federal government that are pertinent to the needs of RDN’s member organizations.
- In collaboration with the executive director, research potential provincial and federal programs that could benefit RDN and its member organizations.
- Research, identify, and make requests for specific statistics.
- Analyze statistics and develop profiles as needed.
- Design and present presentations to members and government agencies.
- Communicate regularly with RDN’s management team with program/project updates.
- Supervise employees related to specific projects, if required.
- Assist local member and non-member organizations when required.
- In collaboration with the executive director, assist with community development plans.
- Facilitate focus groups and compile information including that which is gathered from surveys and needs assessments, as necessary.
- Represent RDN at meetings and conferences when required.
- Proofread documents for internal and external use.
- Complete funding requests with federal and provincial governments.
- Support member organizations with strategic planning when needed.

- Physical activities are moderate all day long. Long hours on keyboard.

- Extensive responsibility interacting with the partners and funders.
- Very important responsibility for gaining and retaining programs.

- Ultimate responsibility for the information systems, accountability reports.
- Consequence and cost of errors is very important and could lead to loss of programs and income.

- Formulates budgetary needs for the programs and submits for approval, has input in accounting practices and statistics management; significant positive or negative impact on organization.

**Working Conditions**
- The Manager of Regional Development is paid a yearly salary based on a 35-hour work week and may be requested to work evenings and weekends depending on the workload of RDN
