The **Specialist, Service Operations Support - Technical Helpline** provides technical expertise and specialized support to our network of dealership technicians and internal departments. With continual development of digitized customer interacting systems, the need for specialists in the areas of infotainment and cloud-based systems is necessary to provide support to our dealers and customers. The Specialist contributes significantly to the ongoing After Sales goals of service excellence to promote customer satisfaction customer loyalty.

The incumbent will report to the Manager, Technical Helpline and will be based out of Subaru Canada’s head office in Mississauga, ON.

**Primary Job Responsibilities**:

- Works within Technical Helpline assisting Dealer Service Managers and Technicians in resolving specialized system technical issues on Subaru Vehicles that dealer Technicians are unable to diagnose or repair.
- Specialized systems include FOTA, Infotainment, and all forms of digitized and cloud based diagnostic and update systems, including EV related, GTS and SSM diagnostic software.
- Works within Technical Helpline on special projects/assignments as required
- Provides support to the field (FQM/DASM) as required
- Provide software countermeasure evaluation/testing support as required
- Attends training courses to keep up to date on all new technical developments.
- Provide support to the Warranty, Parts, Customer Care, and Quality Assurance departments as required.
- Works with vendors/other departments on various Dealer service support projects as required
- Assist with Retrofits and willing to perform other vehicle related “projects” as required.
- Assists the After Sales Department with tasks which need to be managed through the Technical Helpline department (e.g. part restrictions, recalls, etc.).
- Other duties as assigned.

**Required Skills / Attributes**:

- Strong communication skills (verbal & written).
- Strong electronic/electrical diagnosis skills.
- Exceptional skills in technical product problem resolutions.
- Subaru knowledge and experience an asset, but not essential.
- Strong interpersonal skills.

**Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary education.
- Valid provincial driver’s license.
- Provincial Licensed Automotive Technician preferred, but not required.

**Physical Conditions**:

- Extended periods of phone and computer use.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Bending, lifting, and walking.
- Extended time sitting.
- Able to travel, as required (infrequent).

**Experience**:

- automotive technician: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driver's License (required)
- Provincial Licensed Automotive Technician certification (preferred)

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Mississauga, ON
