CRH Canada is currently hiring a** General Accounting Analyst** to join their growing team

**Position Responsibilities**:

- Produce high quality accounting reconciliations and transaction
- Provide accurate, timely, and relevant accounting information to the business unit
- Execute month-end activities for closing the accounting periods within the agreed timeframe
- Utilize SAP to assist in gathering and analyzing data as well as reporting results
- Prepare, post, and review journal entries
- Working with Business Unit Controllers to ensure timely processing of transactions
- Recognize and communicate issues and risks with the team
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and US GAAP accounting principles, internal control SOX requirements
- Support in the preparation of financial reporting packages and statements
- Support the process improvement initiatives and participate in a collaborative team environment
- Produce reconciliations and prepare journal entries
- Cash management
- Inter-company accounting
- Joint ventures accounting
- Ad-hoc inquires and reports
- Participate in various projects
- Support as required with preparation of various schedule for auditors

**Requirements**:

- Diploma or degree with specialization in accounting
- Enrolled or completed CPA courses, mandatory
- Advanced knowledge of (MS Office, Outlook etc.)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
