Job description

**Deluxe Metal Fabrication Inc is a manufacturer of precision sheet metal parts. We are in Langley, BC, and** **currently looking for an experienced Solidworks technician and Office Administration to join our team and work safely in efficient manner.**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Produce full set of shop drawings in Solidworks and revise as conditions change
- Prepare related documentation such as door schedules, bill of materials, part lists, packing slips,
- Coordinate submission of shop drawings and samples
- Site measuring on your own and with sales staff
- Support sales staff in the office and on site
- Support shop staff
- Read, analyze, and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Program nesting software to maximize product/material usage
- Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly
- Ability to do office Administration and book keeping
- Interpersonal skills, such as telephony skills, communication skills, active listening, and customer-care
- Other duties as assigned

**Qualifications & Skills**
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Solidworks and 3D drafting software is required
- Experience in sheet metal fabrication, mechanical or trades work asset but not required
- Ability to work with and edit machine computer programs and convert the Solidworks or AutoCAD drafts to machine nesting software
- Must be able to read and understand blueprints and shop drawings
- Must be detail oriented, hard working, and comfortable with hands-on work
- Able to work individually or as a team, with mínimal supervision
- Team player, driven and committed to the success of the company
- Able to communicate fluently and professionally in English
- Excellent organizational skills and multi-task
- Be proactive, and handle uncertainty. Comfortable being autonomous and working without guidance
- The ability to work under pressure and to prioritize work effectively
- Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Strong and effective oral and written communicator and IT fluency
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be eligible to work in Canada

Successful applicants must be able to wear a variety of hats as there is also some basic office admin work required as well.

**Work Schedule**

Shift is full-time, 40 hours per week Monday to Friday. Morning shift.

**Payment will be negotiated based on skills and experience.**
