**Responsibilities**:
As a Technician, you will spend your day on the road providing high quality service directly to East Penn Canada customers

**You will be responsible for**:

- Completing battery & charger inspections, maintenance & reports
- Inspecting & performing minor repairs on battery cables, connectors & accessories
- Reporting on & recommending follow up for additional repairs
- Conducting pre-delivery inspections & installations of battery monitoring devices
- Installing, inspecting, repairing & testing watering systems
- Preparing batteries for transportation

**Qualifications**:
All our Field Service Technicians receive full battery training, but a strong foundation and background in the following will set you up for success:

- Mechanical / electrical aptitude
- Previous experience in a technical or customer service-related role
- Strong communication skills with the ability to provide clear explanations
- Good problem solving / troubleshooting skills
- Solid customer service focus and experience creating a positive customer experience
- Ability to identify opportunities to advise / support the customer, upsell and cross-sell would be beneficial

**Other Considerations**
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license required with a clean driving record.
- Must be willing and able to frequently lift and/or move vehicle/industrial batteries
- Background checks including criminal checks, driver’s abstract and employment references will be requested.
