**Position Overview**
Reporting to the Process Improvement Manager, the Process Improvement Coordinator focuses on improving the outcomes of various processes so that, by mapping all the inputs and outputs of a defined production process, and is able to recommend and implement ways to improve efficiency, reduce cost or increase customer satisfaction.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Acts as a change agent in the organization by driving change and implementing continuous improvement processes, while utilizing and improving existing methodologies.
- Analyzes existing business processes using various methods such as gap analysis to find opportunities for improvement as well as losses, to troubleshoot and determine root cause.
- Evaluates business processes around various business systems, anticipates requirements, uncovers, and identifies areas for improvement, and develops and implements solutions.
- Promotes lean manufacturing practices by educating the organization in the use of lean principles and ensuring adherence.
- Utilizes lean manufacturing tools (i.e. value stream mapping, Kaizen, 5S, Gemba walks, root cause problem solving) to identify and develop solutions that drive operational improvement;
- Leads continuous improvement projects, including LEAN and Kaizen events to contribute to operations.
- Documents and maintains business processes and revises processes as necessary
- Assists team members and supervisors in measuring KPI, understanding metrics and Company's vision for operational excellence.
- Collects and analyzes data on plant processes, procedures, and performance using evaluation tools and makes recommendations for improvement to the Leadership Team;
- Updates and maintains Bill of Materials;
- Develops short and long-term strategies for the organization and incorporates Six Sigma and other practices to facilitate progress and reduce costs;
- Approves rushes in Mikron;
- Establishes measurable standards at the start of a project and compares actual project results, regularly generating detailed update reports for management;
- Develops and conducts compliance audits, program evaluations and reviews to drive results with the fortitude to ensure change is permanent;
- Conducts investigations and root-cause analysis when supplier issues are presented; takes the appropriate corrective actions using problem-solving techniques;
- Other duties as required.
**Qualifications**:
**- 3 - 5 years’ experience in a quality, engineering, project management or related role;**
**- Post-secondary education in Engineering or similar discipline;**
- Advanced analytical, conceptual thinking, problem solving, planning and organizational skills;
- Ability to work effectively with onsite and remote teams and build positive business relationships;
- Good communication skills both orally and written;
- Ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions;
- Skilled at managing multiple tasks, setting and tracking own milestones, and meeting deadlines
- Ability to train others;
- Advanced computer knowledge of Microsoft Office and Visio
**- Accurate and efficient data entry skills with a focus on detail;**
- ‘Can Do’ attitude with the ability to work positively in a group as well as autonomously;
- Ability to work in a highly organized manner with detail and accuracy while meeting deadlines and balancing multiple tasks;
**- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.**
