Madsen Controls & Engineering, the Canadian distributor and integrator for top-tier industrial control system and power management equipment, has an opening for an Inside Sales Representative in its Edmonton AB office. Madsen has a significant installation base of its products in hydro, mining, pulp and paper, oil & gas, marine and power generation markets throughout Western Canada.

The Inside Sales Representative will have significant experience in one or more of these markets and will service existing accounts and generate new inquiries within these markets. A significant component of the role will be support of the outside sales team.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Independently support outside sales efforts.
- Develop value creation opportunities for both Madsen Controls and the customer.
- Develop and deliver customer-oriented strategies.
- Sales plan development.
- Work well with other members of the team and share information openly.
- Diligently maintain an accurate CRM database.
- Continuously provide market intelligence.

**Education, Experience and Requirements**:

- Motivated to support the outside sales team.
- Excellent communication skills - written and spoken English.
- Physically capable of handling shipping requirements.
- Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, vendor pricing databases, Sage 300)
- Technical background, normally with a diploma or related direct experience.
- Industrial inside sales experience.
- Excellent attention to detail, especially with respect to part numbers and quote accuracy.
- Superior organizational skills and able to balance multiple concurrent requests.
- Five + years related industry experience required.
- Controls, electrical equipment industrial sales.
- Technical certification or equivalent experience.
- Experience with Woodward, Basler, Testo or competing products would be an asset.
- Shipping experience.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $60,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
