The West Toronto Foot & Ankle Clinic is looking for a Full
- or Part-Time Chiropodist to run its clinic, which has been serving the south Etobicoke community for the past twenty years.We welcome new grads who could be looking, and mentoring can be provided. Looking to fill this position as soon as possible with the right person.We would also entertain Part-Time inquiries as there are 2 treatment rooms.There is full access to Shockwave, Ultrasound, Bovie Fulguration, Vascular studies, Fungal Nail Laser, Bio-Magnetic Stimulation, surgical kits, and all equipment and supplies provided. We have an orthotic lab on-site for any of your modifications and adjustments.

**Duties**:

- Chiropodist will take on the existing patient load and grow their own
- Communication with other local health care and referring professionals
- Perform a full scope of practice according to the College of Chiropodists of Ontario (COCOO)
- Conduct comprehensive chiropody services, including foot assessments to identify foot conditions
- Perform detailed biomechanical assessments, prescribe and modify custom foot orthoses
- Provide treatment and management plans for various foot conditions, including corns, calluses, ingrown toenails,

fungal infections, diabetic foot care, wound management, and foot ailments
- Perform minor surgical procedures, such as nail avulsions, tenotomies, etc.
- Educate patients on proper foot care practices, preventive measures, and suitable footwear choices
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including treatment plans and progress notes
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in Chiropody and attend professional development opportunities
- Deliver exceptional patient care and contribute to the clinic’s success. This includes treating scheduled patients, enhancing retention, and effectively communicating management plans

**Requirements**:

- Registration in good standing with the COCOO
- Current Professional Liability Insurance in keeping with the College’s Standards
- Trained in nail surgeries, custom foot orthotics, stockings, footwear, and have BOTH prescription and injection

privileges per the COCOO
- Work independently in a private clinical setting
- Ethical with a focus on patient care
- Strong knowledge of foot anatomy, biomechanics, and common foot conditions.
- Proficient in conducting foot assessments, diagnosing foot conditions, and developing treatment plans
- Utilize a compassionate and empathetic approach towards patient care, ensuring their comfort and well-being
- Exceptional communication skills to effectively explain conditions, treatment options, and foot care instructions
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy
- Dedication to continuing education and staying updated with the latest industry trends
