**Utility Specialist/Coordinator**

Performs complex utility planning and program development work
- Review’s utility construction reports, service regulations, and utility agency rules, compliance policies, and objectives
- Drive conversations with relevant utilities regarding next steps
- Act as a liaison between our engineers, project management team and the end customer
- Understand & relay local jurisdictional requirements as it relates to the installation of a new electrical service with relevant utility
- Formulate recommendations to correct problems and deficiencies
- Provide guidance to others related to work as assigned
- Conduct meeting with individual utility companies and site field visits to coordinate proposed utility locations
- Manage interface with municipalities as necessary to define project requirements and deliverables to get clear expectations
- Provide utility coordination and oversight for projects such as electrical vehicle installation that require new transformer services at Client’s facilities.
- Schedule and attend utility coordination meetings
- Prepare utility agreement packages, reviewing plans to evaluate compliance with guidelines, rules, and regulations, determining eligibility and betterment ratios
- Conduct easement and property research in public records.
- Requires constant communication with all project stakeholders.
- Effectively communicate any unforeseen delays with all stakeholders and develop plans to get the project back on track
- Maintain database of all correspondence with utility companies

Experience and Education
- Experience in utility regulatory work.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience with utility coordination and electrical engineering related
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with major coursework in accounting, business administration, finance, statistics, construction, engineering, or a related field is generally preferred.
- Experience and education may be substituted for one another.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of principles, laws, rules, regulations, and practices of utility operations
- Ability to maintain effective relationships with utilities.
- Ability to communicate effectively and provide guidance to others.
- Excellent attention to detail and sound judgement
- Ability to read and interpret applicable plans, schematics, blueprints, and maps
