Electromechanical Maintenance Technician

This position is dedicated to keeping production moving with mínimal downtime while responsible for the repair and/or maintenance of equipment, within a high volume Distribution Centre.
**Location**:Brampton, Ontario
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Troubleshoot, repair and maintain electrical and mechanical components of product and facility equipment according to safety and maintenance procedures and processes.
- Experience with conveyor systems, generators, compressors and industrial automation components would be beneficial.
- Participate in the preventative maintenance program for the facility
- Installation and modification of equipment
- Document troubleshooting activities, repairs and preventative maintenance of equipment ensuring all documentation (work order, log books, etc.) are complete and accurate.
- Participate in general maintenance work of facilities and assist other trades as needed.
**Education and/or Experience**:
- Technical Trade Certificate required, and related experience preferred
**Skills**:
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Excellent written and spoken English skills
- Use a variety of hand-powered tools and maintain a clean and orderly work area
- Organized and methodical approach to technical work
- Excellent problem solving and trouble shooting skills
- Able to work well under pressure
**Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities**:
- Fast-paced environment
- Be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs
- Be able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, etc.
