Our BC head office location is seeking an experienced full-time **Research Associate** to support our diverse and talented team.

**What you will do**:
Some specific duties and tasks include, but are not limited to, the following:

- Responsible for independently planning and developing new lines of functional biomolecular technology that can be applied in vitro disease diagnostic platforms.
- Designing, planning, and executing experiments, either independently or in collaboration with your teammates.
- Organizing, supporting and collaborating with other team members to meet project deliverables and timelines.
- Manage projects related to recombinant genetic engineering, such as PCR and protein expression that use various vector systems in Prokaryotic and eukaryotic systems.
- Utilize ELISA, Western Blot, protein labeling, and chemical conjugation etc.
- Generate technical documentation following industry and international standards, provide pre-and post-product launch support.

**Qualifications**:

- PhD in Biology, Biochemistry, or related discipline education with relevant experience, such as molecular biology, immunology, and genetics.
- Skilled presenter to deliver technical summaries of data with critical-thinking skills to provide in-depth analytical explanations and interpretations.
- Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced team environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively as a member of a cross-functional team.
- Excellent documentation and organizational skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

**Preferred**:

- 2+ years of working and project management experience.
- Familiar with authoring/reviewing regulatory and product certificate submissions.
- Able to work in a self-directed manner, demonstrate initiative, and are willing to work flexible hours.
- Able to think critically under pressure and is curious about exploring new technologies and developments in the field.
- Bilingual: Mandarin, Chinese
