**Role**:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Technical Operations Manager with extensive CAD design experience to work with and oversee our design team, manage our MRP system, and support CAD operations, ensuring that our production processes deliver customized, high-quality products on time.

Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, this role will work closely with the Sales Manager and Managing Partnerto meet customer expectations, streamline workflows, and drive continuous improvement. While experience in têxtile industries is not required, we are looking for a leader with operational expertise from industries such as metal fabrication, machinery manufacturing, or similar, who can bring best practices to our unique production environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **MRP Management**: Input production workflows into Fulcrum (MRP system) ensuring a high degree of accuracy. Key point of contact with Fulcrum rep for ongoing support and workflow optimization.
- **Design**: Produce high quality CAD models (Fusion 360), renderings and drawings for individual products and facility layouts. Perform FEA on structural components.
- **Collaboration with Sales**: Work closely with the Sales Manager and third party landscapers, developers and designers to facilitate customer drawings.
- **R&D Collaboration**:Work closely with the Managing Partners on R&D initiatives to produce rapid prototypes while cataloging revisions and learnings.
- **Team Development**: Lead, coach, and inspire a team of skilled professionals in the design and operator departments. Cultivate a culture of accountability, efficiency, and accuracy.
- **CAD Systems Support**: Ensure the smooth operation of CNC manufacturing and testing equipment. Troubleshoot machinery issues and coordinate preventive maintenance with the machine operator to minimize downtime.
- **Process Optimization**: Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements, streamlining operations, and enhancing productivity, while maintaining high-quality output.

**Required**:

- Several years of experience in design and technical systems management, preferably in metal fabrication, machinery production, or other hands-on manufacturing environments
- Proven ability to conceptualize, design, and develop innovative solutions that blend functionality, aesthetics, and technical precision
- Leadership skills, with a proven ability to manage small teams, streamline processes, and improve productivity
- Experience with production planning, scheduling, and workflow optimization
- Technical aptitude with an understanding of equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and operational efficiency
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

**Preferred**:

- Background in coding and software development
- Familiarity with CNC machine operations or similar manufacturing technologies
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or technical certification in design, systems management or a related field
