**Purpose**

Reporting to Sanitation Supervisor, the Sanitation Crew cleans and sanitizes equipment, pipes, and food contact surfaces. The Sanitation Crew is responsible for following procedures and coordinating with the operations team to ensure food safety standards are met. They are required to disassemble production equipment, cover control panels, and wash and sanitize machinery, as well as dispose of garbage and waste.

**Responsibilities**
- Adhere to all sanitation cleaning standard operations procedure, work instructions and requirements
- Adhere to all equipment disassemble and assemble standard operations procedure, work instructions and requirements
- Adhere to safety practices when use cleaning chemicals and operating cleaning equipment
- Ensure quality of cleaning meets food safety standards and requirements for areas assigned
- Ensure work area housekeeping is maintained to meet the standard and requirements
- Actively communicate work incidents, damages and deviations to Lead hand or supervisor

**Qualifications**
- High school diploma
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral

**Physical Conditions/Hazards**
- Must be adaptable to occasionally varying shifts but keep to steady nights.
- Wet environment; atmosphere ranges from cool to warm and humid
- Hearing protection, protective clothing respiratory equipment and steel toe shoes required
- Standing and walking for long period of time
- Frequently bending, crouching, twisting, kneeling, and crawling while cleaning and sanitizing equipment
- Maneuvering heavy objects, including frequently lifting (floor to waist, waist to shoulders, and overhead) and carrying up to 25kg and pushing and pulling of equipment (up to 1500kg) on wheels
- Exposure to job related hazards, including but not limited to: heavy objects, chemicals, hot water, climbing ladders and stairs, heights, and slippery floors
