**POSITION SCOPE**: The
**Sanitation Lead** is responsible for all activities involved in maintaining the cleanliness of the environment for the Processing facility, surrounding area and equipment. Leads, motivates and develops
**Sanitation** staff to achieve outstanding
**sanitation** results.

**RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES**:

- Training staff on cleaning and sanitization tasks and proper documentation requirements
- Training staff on operating various pieces of janitorial equipment (industrial vacuum, power sweepers, floor scrubbers, power washers)
- Ensuring all sanitization documents are completed by crew members accurately on a daily basis
- Inspecting and monitoring the facility to ensure cleaning, housekeeping and sanitization standards are achieved and sustained
- Acting as point of contact for coordinating staff and work to be completed in advance of facility audits and tours
- Cleaning and sanitizing all surfaces and some equipment in the production areas
- Washing and hosing down floors, walls, ceilings
- Cleaning and disinfecting washrooms and lunchrooms, including fixtures
- Dismantling and reassembling certain equipment and cleaning some machinery
- Sweeping, mopping, scrubbing and waxing floors, vacuuming and spot cleaning carpets
- Washing windows, mirrors, dusting interior frames, racks, shelves and ledges
- Empty waste containers and remove scrap, dirty and heavy debris or other refuse
- Other tasks as assigned by Supervisory or Management staff

**JOB SPECIFICATIONS**:
**KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE**: 1-3 years’ experience required; post-secondary education preferred
