Bring your unique perspectives and expertise:
- The Customer Demand Planner works with collaboratively with Sales to be responsible for the development of demand, inventory and risk mitigation plans for one or more of the business unit’s key retail partners. Develops accurate and timely forecasts for baseline, promotional and new launch sales, develops retail inventory projections and optimization recommendations, and runs the exposure of retail inventories for exiting items.
What your day will look like:
- Develop and complete customer inventory plans that support the Joint Business Plan (JBP) objectives and Key Performance Metrics (KPIs), including consumer sales, retail turns, in-stocks, and retail closing stock. This includes:
- Collaborate with Sales to develop flow of goods strategies that increase in-stocks while mitigating markdown, service or customer fine risks.
- Develop inventory flow plans for Holiday season and reflect these in the demand planning systems.
- Develop customer planograms and provide customer forecasting, planning, reporting and analysis support.
- Building upon a statistical forecast, deliver an accurate weekly customer demand plan for the 18-week short term demand planning horizon. Collaborate with Sales to provide full year monthly forecasts for consumer sales, shipments and inventory. This includes:
- Ensure demand planning system accurately reflects known customer/marketing activities, product launch timings and promotional activities.
- Review forecasts exceptions as part of weekly planning.
- Consistently review account demand plan forecast quality metrics and incorporate insights into the demand plan.
- Build Operational partnership with key customer partners through outstanding customer service and responsiveness. Establish strong collaborative internal relationships to help deliver outstanding service throughout the end-to-end supply chain.
- Participate in Special Projects or assume Super-User role(s) to help further LEGO Operations team knowledge and business capabilities.
Are you up for the challenge?
- Minimum 3-5 years Customer Demand Planning, Replenishment Planning, Category Management or related experience in consumer goods, or related industry. Minimum 2 years in customer-facing roles. Prior ecommerce inventory planning experience and Retail Link an asset.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred in a business-related field with shown experience in business analytics, or equivalent working experience.
- Skills: Data visualization software (Tableau, Power BI).
- Knowledge: High proficiency with SAP, APO, JDA Space Planning, SAP BW, Excel, demand planning systems.
