**Contract Role**

This is a summer position that will be on a contract basis from May to September with possibility of extension. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent grad or university student.

**Purpose/summary**

The Social Media Coordinator will be responsible for developing and executing strategies that enhance brand awareness, drive engagement, and support business growth for various projects.

**Reporting**
- Reports to Director, Business Development

**Duties and responsibilities**
- Develop high-quality content (text, images, videos, graphics) tailored to different platforms.
- Plan, schedule, and publish content consistently.
- Utilize modern content marketing platforms and marketing automation tools, both existing and emerging, to best achieve desired outcomes.
- Use analytics and performance metrics to determine the best way to engage users, generate leads, optimize content and measure brand awareness.
- Ability to monitor online activity across departments and geographical areas to ensure anyone using the company’s online tools is following established guidelines and best-practice rules
- Coordinate with internal content creators and departments to encourage collaboration and amplify unified messaging.
- Create digital content including photography and video

**Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities)**
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and on multiple campaigns in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
- Efficient and organized with excruciating attention to detail
- Thorough understanding of and expert-level user of all social media technologies: including knowledge of best practices, analytics and integration with conventional websites
- Knowledge of online advertising
- Proven ability to write for a variety of formats including social media and web content
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills: must be able to communicate information succinctly and clearly in wide variety of voices
- Strong research, planning and project management skills
- Working knowledge of Photoshop, photography and video editing
- Working knowledge of web design best practices.

**Education and qualifications**
- A university degree or college diploma related to marketing (or currently enrolled in area of study)
- 1-2 years’ experience in planning and creating social media strategies and advertising campaigns with measurable goals and objectives preferred.
- Experience in the fields of marketing and communications are an asset.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Valid Driver’s License Required

**Work Location**:

- In-person at our office in Acheson, AB
- Occasional travel throughout Alberta required

**Hours of Work**:

- Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour

- Monday to Friday
