**As the Development Associate your responsibilities will include**:

- Presenting data integral to the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of grateful patients, corporations, foundations, and friends (i.e., searching for new prospects, organizations and individuals who may have interests that align with Royal Alex Hospital Foundation priorities)
- Helping set the VP of Philanthropy and Stakeholder Engagement set strategic direction; maintaining, updating and facilitating a moves management system that drives cultivation and solicitation strategies for donors and prospects
- Conducting proactive prospect research; interpreting the interests of potential donors or stakeholders and translate them into attractive opportunities for investment for the RAHF; capitalizing on current non-profit strategies to ensure growth of the prospect pool
- Working with the Raiser’s Edge database, to ensure that data hygiene is in place and outlining the process of database management, including; ensuring information on donors and prospects is up-to-date, accurate, and properly documented
- Implementing the prospect clearance process
- Managing special projects, including supporting Philanthropy team initiatives (i.e. NICU Support/Coordination with participating sites, etc.)
- Providing executive administrative support to the Vice President of Philanthropy and Stakeholder Engagement; assisting with donor contact reports, scheduling, preparing agendas and taking minutes for meetings
- Assisting the major gift team on donor development and engagement strategies as needed

**What We’re Looking for On Your Resume**:

- 3-5+ years of professional experience in executive support and administration
- Analytical, research, donor database support and management, preferably in a fund development setting or related role would be considered an asset
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders
- Excellent quantitative analysis skills, attention to detail and ability to think strategically and independently
- Manage a small portfolio of prospects
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Knowledge of tools and techniques for collecting, synthesizing and analyzing data
- Flexible with a willingness to assume new tasks and special projects
- Strong computer skills including proficiency in Raiser’s Edge, other fundraising /CRM databases and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)

- Agreement to a Security Clearance Check and ability to present a valid Alberta Driver’s License upon hire

**Salary**: $60,000.00-$63,000.00 per year
