- _Background in Logistics - this will include investigating the purchasing of equipment _
- _Coordinating, tracking and ensuring proper equipment in each plant and retail location_
- _Verify Metal coil allocations to all plants for manufacturing_
- _Researching and assisting growth opportunities with manufacturing and retail location space_
- _Researching both metal manufacturing equipment and metal roofing and siding equipment_
- _Provide support to the sales team_
- _Maintain contact with clients by following up on orders_
- _Perform metrics reporting and data analysis tasks to identify issues and opportunities for process improvements_
- _Oversee dealer and contractor account set up and pricing_
- _Oversee estimating department_
- _Conduct plant inspections and provide constructive feed back to General Manager_
- _Standard operating procedures - provide input and ensure execution of SOP’s_
- _Create long-term plans and initiatives to accomplish company goals efficiently_
- _Coordinating with other teams to implement strategies and cross-training efforts_
- _Analyzing budgets to minimize expenses without sacrificing profits_
- _Developing and implementing strategies to keep employees motivated and dedicated_
- _Identifying problems and coming up with effective solutions quickly_
- _Monitoring changing market conditions and adjusting strategies accordingly_
- _Health & safety mindset_
- _Ability to travel to locations across British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba_
- **Responsibilities**:_
- _Lead, motivate and support a large team within a time-sensitive and demanding environment, including career development plans for direct reports and problem resolution_
- _Manage data collection for the updating of metrics to achieve productivity targets, reduce cost per unit, eliminate errors, and deliver excellent customer service_
- Partner with cross-functional teams to improve proprietary tools and systems_
- _Work closely with Safety departments to ensure that activities remain compliant_
- _Oversee materials and inventory_
- _Conduct budget reviews and report cost plans to upper management_
- **Required skills and qualifications**:_
- _Proven success in an operations management role_
- _Strong skills in budget development and oversight_
- _Excellent ability to delegate responsibilities while maintaining organizational control of branch operations and customer service_
- _Proficiency in conflict management and business negotiation processes_
- **Preferred skills and qualifications**:_
- _Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in operations management, business administration, or related field_
- _Working knowledge of management software programs_
- _Strong IT skills, including database development _
- _Multiple years of financial and account reporting experience_
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From $75,000.00 per year
