Small Victory Bakery Store Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership

1. Model, coach and hold staff accountable for providing an exceptional customer service experience

2. Lead and manage store level aspects of human resources, including recruitment, coaching, training, performance management, and succession planning

3. Demonstrate leadership by taking an active role on the floor to engage and build rapport with customers and proactively provide support for team members

4. Provide guidance and support to the Supervisors to effectively manage their teams and resources to ensure consistency in service delivery and product quality standards

5. Establish and maintain regular communications with staff

Performance

1. Monitor and measure overall store performance and with a thorough understanding to report issues, performance results, opportunities, and challenges, along with recommendations for improvement.

2. Optimize profitability by controlling key variable costs of food, coffee, supplies and labor

3. Maintain control and management of inventory including reconciliation of invoicing, waste reporting, and inter unit transfers

4. Monitor and uphold store brand standards in service, product quality and image

Quality Assurance

1. Using methods of measurement and tools in place to ensure quality and consistency in all areas of the store

2. Communicate effectively with bar, kitchen, and pastry team to ensure customer orders are accurate and received in a timely manner, constantly evaluating our systems and procedures for effectiveness

3. Monitor equipment performance and follow preventative maintenance schedules to reduce repair, including periodic deep cleaning and tech maintenance

4. Monitor posted public and staff information for relevancy and time-sensitivity

Operations

1. Support daily operations in all areas of service: FOH, Bar, Pastry, Kitchen and Support

2. Oversee and/or submit weekly orders for all store needs: coffee, tea, pastry, produce, supplies, etc.

3. Publish weekly staff schedule and correct clock-in/out as required

4. Calculate and distribute staff tips

5. Coordinate seasonal menu changes, new product launches, and holiday strategies

6. Maintain accuracy of POS for ordering efficiency and reducing data clutter

7. Maintain and report monthly petty cash reconciliation as per company standards

8. Process daily bookkeeping paperwork and submit in a timely manner.

9. Follows and complies with SV Cash Handling and Transaction protocols

10. Follows Health and Safety protocols

11. Follows Company Employee Handbook guidelines and protocols

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Minimum 2 years’ experience managing food and beverage retail required, high volume in specialty coffee/bakery preferred

2. Proven experience working with basic financial report spreadsheets

3. Proven experience working with managerial functions of Point of Sale software and hardware

6. Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekdays, weekends and holidays and shifts that meet business needs

7. Willing to be available to manage business needs outside of operating hours if required

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $55,000.00-$63,000.00 per year
