To be eligible for this position, you must meet the participant requirements under the Canada Summer Jobs Agreement with as outlined:_**
- _ be between 15 and 30 years of age at the beginning of the employment period_
- _ be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment_
- _ have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations._

What you'll get to do:_**
- _
Bring our social media strategies to life by creating captivating content that connects with newcomers and supports their integration journey._
- _ Create, draft, and publish dynamic content for our social media channels and website, ensuring it aligns with the needs and interests of newcomers to Canada._
- _ Write and edit engaging highlights and stories that showcase the programs and support available to help newcomers thrive in their new environment._
- _ Work alongside teams to brainstorm and execute innovative marketing campaigns that resonate with newcomers and promote available resources._
- _ Research and share the latest insights on digital marketing trends and tools, ensuring our strategies remain relevant and impactful for newcomer audiences._
- _ Play a vital role in maintaining our brand's voice and visual identity, ensuring consistency across all platforms to build trust within newcomer communities._
- _ Help monitor our digital marketing metrics to evaluate how well we’re connecting with newcomers and suggest ways to enhance our strategies for even greater impact._
- _ Support our internal and external communication efforts, including the design and editing of our Annual Report using Canva, to highlight the resources available for newcomers._

What you need to know/have:_**
- _
Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, or related field._
- _ Outstanding verbal and written communication skills._
- _ An understanding of social media strategies and media relations._
- _ Above-average knowledge of various social media, design platform including Canva and management tool including Hootsuite._

Location:_**_ 55 Town Centre Court, Scarborough, ON_

**_ Hours:_**_ 35 per week, occasional weekends and evenings may be required._

**_ Compensation:_**_ $17.20 per hour_
