Broadband Communications North Inc. (BCN) was incorporated in 2002 as a not-for-profit community driven network which initially targeted 28 un-served and underserved Indigenous communities with broadband issues. Fast forward to today, BCN services over 60 rural, northern, and remote communities in Manitoba. BCN provides service using fiber, wireless and satellite infrastructure.

The Finance Manager will perform various job duties that are essential to the ongoing functioning and efficiency of the business’s financial systems. These job duties will focus on core finance duties as well as budget management, financial analysis, reporting, and project management duties. The Finance Manager will play an integral part of the management team - leadership and teamwork are essential in this position. The Finance Manager will also be responsible for overseeing identical duties for affiliated businesses of the organization.

**_Responsibilities_**
- Participate in the development and support of the company’s strategic plans
- Prepare monthly and annual operating budget for BCN and its affiliated businesses and projects
- Plan, and coordinate all accounting operational functions - accounts payable, receivables, inventory, payroll
- Coordinate and prepare internal and external financial statements
- Coordinate activities of external auditors
- Oversee regulatory reporting, including tax planning and compliance
- Oversee all financial systems (including banking, investments, credit, etc)
- Develop and manage financial controls in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
- Develop, document, and maintain policies and procedures relating to all financial processes
- Hire, train and retain financial and administrative team

**_Education & Experience_**
- Post-secondary degree in Business or Finance. CPA preferred or equivalent experience and education.
