JOB DESCRIPTION:
This position is responsible for leading the finance function at the Winnipeg plant to support safe and efficient production of pizza snacks for the Canadian market. This role drives the creation of shareholder value through holistic margin management (HMM) and working capital initiatives. While driving shareholder value, the role is responsible for ensuring the plant achieves these objectives through reliable and accurate financial reporting and exercising strong fiduciary responsibility. This requires ensuring strong design and operating effectiveness of financial and operational controls.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY:

- Member of plant leadership team driving Zero Loss Culture and contributing to business initiatives.
- Building a high-performance finance team focused on generating business results, through Engaging Leader Behaviors.
- Exhibit servant leadership on the production floor, with a focus on human and food safety.
- Primary financial contact to North American Supply Chain Leadership based in Minneapolis, MN and Canadian Supply Chain Finance team based in Mississauga, ON, including communication of spring plan and delivering monthly results.
- Partner with North American Supply Chain Leadership to rollout North American Plant Finance initiatives at plant to drive efficiencies through standardization.
- Liaise with external stakeholders to ensure external reporting is delivered in timely manner (KPMG, CRA, Statistics Canada, Canadian Dairy Commission).
- Interpret and review financial and operational results to drive actionable responses.
- Ownership of plant financial controls to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley for external financial reporting.
- Own cost per case and Productivity (HMM) metrics through budget and month end Financial reporting to identify opportunities to partner with others to drive Productivity savings.
- Drive efficient and effective working capital management.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field
- 3 - 5 years of related experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work well on team and build effective relationships across all levels of the organization
- Detail oriented and strong analytical skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
- Experience working in a finance/accounting role within manufacturing
- Experience with SAP
- Highly motivated self-starter with strong organization and prioritization skills
- Assertive, self-confident, and willing to offer opinions and insights
- Initiative and ability to work independently and to effectively work with a team
- Ability to influence, develop, and motivate peers
- Desire to work cross functionally with all plant functions to support plant operations

RELATIONSHIP:
Reports to the Plant Manager with Cross Functional working relationships with Operations, Maintenance, FSQ, HR, Canada Finance and our Global Team.
