Asrs (Automated Storage Retrieval System)

**Atlantic AutoCold** is an innovative, cutting edge, fully automatic cold storage facility in Atlantic Canada. A conveyor system and four robotic cranes place and retrieve good in racks up to 140 feet in height. We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Associate to join our growing team in Sackville, NB.

**Position Overview**:
A self-started with a “Can Do” attitude and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment, the ASRS operator utilizes SSI Schaefer’s proprietary warehouse management system (WAMAS) to build, ship, and receive customer inventory. Performs transactions, fixes error and investigates discrepancies to meet or extend quality and productivity. This position is well suited for experienced warehouse workers who want to learn about warehouse automation. Forklift operating is also a key part of this position.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Operate mobile equipment with precision and safety within the warehouse/production facility.
- Load and unload trailers efficiently and accurately.
- Utilize WAMAS for inventory management and system transactions.
- Perform regular maintenance checks on automated systems and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical and system issues.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams to schedule and perform repairs on equipment.
- Check and evaluate work against quality standards.
- Ensure work area is clean, organized, and free from safety hazards.
- Identify and correct unsafe situations and conditions.
- Complete regular checklist reports for both forklift safety and maintenance duties.
- Work collaboratively with logistics, production, and maintenance teams.
- Perform all other related duties as assigned.

**Requirements**:

- Education: Trade Certification in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical, or Mechanical Technology is an asset.
- Years of Warehousing Experience an asset: 1-5 years.
- Must be able to work in a cold environment.
- Stand-up forklift experience and forklift certification is an asset.
- Strong computer aptitude and inventory management experience are preferred.
- Ability to work rotating shifts (days/afternoons/weekends).
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced team environment.
- High degree of attention to detail; organized with demonstrated multi-tasking abilities.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
- High degree of safety awareness.

**Schedule**:

- 8-hour shifts.
- Monday to Friday.
- Overtime and weekend availability.

- Sackville, NB E4L 3Y4: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required).

**Experience**:

- Forklift: 1 year (preferred).
- Warehouse: 1 year (preferred).
