**What we do**

Benmet Steel & Metal is a **leader in the Canadian scrap and recycling industry** located in the heart of Guelph, ON. We are one of the most established and reputable independent scrap metal processors in Ontario. We are looking for motivated individuals to join our growing team.

**As a Business Development trainee** you will be involved in Retail sales, you will be introduced to all functions involving the daily operations while also exploring other areas of the business.

This provides an opportunity to learn the industry from the ground up to prepare you for a fulfilling career at Benmet.

**Responsibilities include**:

- **Scale** - Operation and cash management
- **Purchasing - **Commodities from our retail customers
- **Preparation** and completion of paperwork with an attention to detail.
- **Face to face time with customers**:

- **Growing** customer interactions with feeback

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft office (Excel and Outlook)
- Ability to show initiative and support where needed, team player.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Flexible, adaptable, with strong multitasking skills.
