**Position Overview**:
Reporting to the Controller, the Accounting Administrator is responsible for managing the daily accounts receivable and accounts payable processes of the business, ensuring reliable and timely accounting records. The position involves establishing and maintaining processes for managing accounts payable and receivable, coordinating weekly payments, and supporting general office administration. This role requires strong organizational skills, a high level of accuracy, the ability to meet deadlines, and the capability to take ownership of the accounting activities performed by the business.
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Perform daily accounting duties, including cheque deposits and capturing invoices.
- Prepare weekly accounts payable listings and load payments into the online banking platform.
- Assist the Accountant/Controller with credit card reconciliations and other accounting tasks.
- Execute remote cheque deposits and process Electronic Fund Transfers (EFT) and Pre-Authorized Debit orders (PAD).
- Support ad hoc accounting tasks as needed, reporting to the Controller.
- Organize and maintain office administration processes, including office orders, filing, and mail.
- Assist with transfer station tickets for invoicing as required.
- Perform other related duties as required or assigned.

**Requirements**:

- Demonstrated work experience in accounting and administrative roles.
- Diploma in Accounting or Business Administration is advantageous.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with QuickBooks Online and Scotia Connect is an asset.
- Knowledge of GST rules.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle repetitive tasks accurately.
- Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize workload, meet deadlines, and streamline processes.
- Shows initiative and takes ownership of work to ensure tasks are completed.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Available for full-time, in-person work.
- Actively promotes and embodies core values of dynamism, care, integrity, and sustainability.
- Shares information and resources to foster positive and collaborative work relationships.
