In addition to producing live, professional theatre, the Chemainus Theatre experience also includes the Playbill Dining Room, Fireside Lounge and Gallery Gift Shop.

**Position Overview**:
**Hours of Work**
- This is a casual part-time position, with variable hours depending on the theatre’s production schedule and sales activity.
- Hours will vary between 6 - 20 hours per week
- Primarily day shifts on any days between Tuesday - Sunday (some Saturday & Sunday availability is required)
- 2 weeks of training is provided (approximately 40 hours)
- Anticipated training start date: Mid-October

**Who You Are**

You’re a friendly, dependable and enthusiastic individual who enjoys the arts and engaging with people. You thrive in fast-paced environments, are highly detail-oriented and take initiative. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a flexible schedule - whether that means picking up extra shifts during busy shows and subscription sales, or enjoying lighter hours during quieter periods (i.e. between shows).

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Process all reservations and payments for theatre, dining, subscriptions, hotel packages, gift certificates, and any other marketed packages using Spektrix software
- Process and distribute daily reports
- Responsible for POS operation and daily cash balancing
- Monitor web sales orders and aid patrons using the online ticketing system
- Maintain the patron database, ensuring accurate data-entry
- Process donations and provide information on donation campaigns

**Required Qualifications & Skills**:

- Exceptional customer service skills, including pleasant phone manner and articulate verbal communication
- Proficiency in keyboarding and confident using computers, preferably Microsoft Office
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to think clearly while under pressure and work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to enter electronic data with speed and accuracy
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Honesty and integrity in dealing with confidential information
- An appreciation of live theatre
