We are seeking a Test Prep Specialist to support students as they prepare for the SSAT, SAT, ACT and other standardized tests. We offer 1-1 preparation as well as occasional small group classes. Currently, our test prep services are being offered entirely online with staff working remotely. When in-person lessons resume, the position will be at 25 Imperial Street (Yonge and Davisville).

Our approach is student-centred, with an emphasis on fun, adaptable and engaging lessons matched with solid educational and test-taking strategies. You will work directly with our Test Prep Director and in conjunction with our other Test Prep Specialists.

This position is part-time with a possibility of growing into full-time.

Our opening hours are Sunday to Thursday. Weekday evenings are required.

ABOUT US

Ruth Rumack’s Learning Space (RRLS) is a fast-growing educational support company for students from kindergarten to university, including those with learning exceptionalities.

We teach students in 1-to-1 and small group settings and design individualized lesson plans that help students achieve academic and lifelong success. We also work with students who require enrichment and standardized test preparation. Lessons are interactive, kinesthetic, and incorporate creative teaching methods not found in regular classrooms.

WHAT WE NEED
- A fun, warm, and empathetic personality
- 2+ years experience teaching students with a variety of educational needs including diagnosed learning differences
- Experience working with the Middle and Upper-Level SSAT, the SAT and the ACT
- Excellent command of the English language
- Ability to contribute to the production of intellectual property including workbooks, textbooks and other materials
- Adaptable, flexible, and motivated attitude

ASSETS
- OCT certification or equivalent an asset
- Experience teaching LSAT, GMAT, GRE, GED and other tests
- Knowledge of assistive technologies an asset
- Special Education qualifications or experience an asset
- Interest in developing new curriculum and programs
