(LOOKING FOR DAYTIME & WEEKEND STAFF FOR APRIL to NOVEMBER).

Located in Peggy’s Cove, NS,

Overlooking iconic fishing boats, Margaret’s is a cozy East Coast café serving freshly brewed coffee and tea, Maritime inspired baked goods, seafood chowder, and delicious gourmet paninis.

**Required Skills/Knowledge**
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude, especially while under pressure
- Prep cook experience preferred.
- Capacity to work as an individual and as part of a team.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to follow directions, cooking techniques and recipes.
- Willingness to help with any task as required, including duties not listed within the scope of this job description.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time, and able to lift up to 50 lbs.

**What You’ll Do**:

- Prepare all required food prep tasks efficiently and accurately.
- Ensure that food quality standards, safety standards, and recipes are adhered to.
- Receiving, handling, replenishing, and processing incoming food products.
- Assisting with maintaining a clean, safe and positive working environment.
- Monitor physical surroundings in assigned area prior to and throughout the day for safety, cleanliness, functionality, and sanitation guidelines.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure orders are prepared in a timely manner.
- Ensure all equipment is in working order, and report any issues to the head Chef
- Daily cleaning of the kitchen, including daily, weekly, and monthly tasks lists.

**Job Types**: Seasonal - Seasonal Full and Part time

Contract length: 7-8 months

Wage: $18.00-20.00 per hour based on relevant experience, plus tips.

Must have the ability to commute:

- Peggy’s Point Road, Peggy’s Cove, NS B3Z 3S2

Schedule:

- 4-10-hour shifts
- Day/late afternoon shifts
- Holidays
- The café is open 7 days a week

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Previous experience in a food service environment - preferred

Work Location: Peggy’s Point Road, Peggy’s Cove, NS

Expected start date: 2025-04-15

Seasonal closing date: 2025-10-30

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
