We are looking for a talented Event Supervisor to lead our banquet department. If you are interested in hospitality, learning more about the administrative side of event planning, and developing a team with one of Canada's fastest growing hospitality groups - this is the role for you

As a Events Supervisor you have the opportunity to develop and mentor your own team of event servers, uphold standards for your department and have a direct impact on the success of the location. You will work directly with talented chefs, the Event Manager and restaurant leaders as well as the hotel division.

**THE ROLE**:

- To direct and control events in the facility at an excellent level while maintaining and abiding by all standards, policies and/or procedures set forth by our company.
- Providing training, leadership and mentorship for our banquet team.
- Identifying skill and leadership potential in your crew and developing those exceptional individuals into higher roles within our company.
- event execution and managing quality assurance.
- Manage the floor staff, ensure team members are dressed in uniform and delivering exceptional guest service in a friendly yet speedy manner
- Work directly with the event coordinators or hosts, problem solve in the moment when addressing questions or concerns that may arise during or before service.
- Be the lead on event supervision and execution
- Ensure tables are decorated correctly, food is presented well, and service goes off without a hitch
- Manage clients in an efficient yet organized manner including setting up meetings, forwarding contracts, billing, etc.
- Deliver feedback and coaching to banquet team
- Provide full room set-ups including A.V. and bar
- Demonstrate leadership by building positive team morale

**Key Requirements**
- Minimum 1 year experience in an Event role or equivalent
- Exceptional guest service skills
- Attention to detail
- Leadership skills that rally the team during big events while resolving conflicts and getting the job done - lead by example
- Impromptu problem-solving skills when dealing with internal and external conflict
- Exceptional communication skills, providing leadership to staff and managing guests
- High stamina (as you will be on their feet most of the day)
- Desire and ability to earn the respect of your team
- Ability to create a positive working environment and provide ongoing positive feedback to colleagues
- Enthusiastic and inspiring
