**One of our clients in Oshawa looking for a machine operator**
**Shift hours**:Monday - Thursday **7:00am - 4:30pm **/Friday **7:00 am - 3:30pm**
**Pay Rate: $18:50 per hour**
Machine operator duties would include:
- Feeding lumber onto various conveyor belts to be cut to different sizes.
- Work is indoors, but winter clothing is still required as bay doors are frequently opened.
- To set up, operate and troubleshoot cutting equipment correctly and in accordance with safety standards while maintaining production standards and efficiencies;
- Ensure that each job is set up correctly as per the job docket and that all required materials are available, including docket, matrices and quality control sheet;
- To assist, train and share your knowledge with less experienced personnel;
- Perform all other duties as assigned;
- Work in compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act of Ontario, the Workplace Safety Insurance Act, the Quality Management System and all other applicable legislated regulations;
- Work is indoors, but winter clothing is still required as bay doors are frequnelty opened.
