Lactalis is looking for a Laboratory Technician to work Thursday - Monday day shift.

**Critical Success Factors**:

- Record all measurements accurately, as required.
- Able to operate all Laboratory related equipment.
- Follow all Quality Assurance Standard Operating Procedures.
- Troubleshoot and make minor adjustments to equipment.
- Supplying all pertinent documents and reports, as may be required by management or the government, in an accurate and legible format
- Report to Manager/Supervisor immediately of any food safety and/or quality issues (ie foreign materials, sanitation issues, health & safety issues, etc).
- Ensure compliance with GMP, Food Safety, Quality Regulations, 5S, SOPs and other pertinent policies, procedures and legislation.
- Maintain a safe work area and support health & safety programs (wear proper Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), SafeStart, Cardinal Rules, WHMIS etc).
- Maintains good housekeeping and clean work areas.
- Take on additional duties as required.
- Bachelor degree or a diploma from a secondary institution (minimum 2 years), preferably in food science, or be working toward one. Consideration will also be given to those individuals with a combination of relevant education & laboratory experience.
- Have the ability and background to understand and operate laboratory equipment.
- Familiarity with HACCP principles is an asset.
- Good mathematical, analytical, and problem solving skills.
- Ability to identify, problem solve and research alternatives within the scope of the job.
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision and in a team based environment.
- Good reading, communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills.

**Salary**: From $26.01 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Supplemental pay types:
