**Job Overview**

**Responsibilities**
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
- Provide financial reporting.
- Provide exceptional customer service.
- Respond and manage enquires for bookings, reservations and other TR events.
- Seek and execute on initiatives to increase customer base and retention.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
- Manage inventory levels by monitoring stock and completing purchases as needed.
- Handle cash transactions accurately while adhering to cash handling procedures.
- Schedule other bar staff on a monthly or bi-weekly basis.
- Provide supervision of other bar staff to ensure they are performing their duties effectively.
- Provide training to bar staff when needed on new recipes, policies or procedures.
- Demonstrate effective time management skills during busy shifts to ensure prompt service.
- Perform distillery tours and tastings.
- Maintain a working knowledge of all Confluence products.

**Requirements**:

- A basic understanding of cocktail bartending. Experience as a cocktail bartender is an asset.
- Experience in the restaurant industry, especially in customer service positions.
- Basic knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and managing tabs.
- Experience with POS systems and Excel based software.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanor are essential for success in this role.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Owning a vehicle is considered an asset.
- Valid AGLC Pro-Serve certification.

This position is ideal for someone who is interested in pursuing a career in management, especially in the hospitality industry. This position will work directly with our general manager and bar team. The Head Bartender role is a key contributor to the overall success of the Confluence cocktail lounge (aka tasting room) and elevating the customer experience. Due to the level of responsibilities, this role will be eligible for additional commission-based compensation. As a small company, this position will be expected to complete tasks that are not limited to their core responsibilities. Pay: $15.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
