**Kitchen Porter Job Summary**:
Maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen, handling kitchen equipment, and assisting the kitchen staff as needed. Diligent, efficient, and able to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment. Ensure the kitchen is clean, well-organized, and fully stocked at all times.

**Kitchen Porter Duties**:

- Ensure the kitchen is clean and sanitized
- Unload deliveries and organize the storeroom
- Wash dishes, utensils and cooking equipment when needed
- Assist the kitchen staff with food prep tasks
- Dispose of waste appropriately
- Ensure food supplies are stored properly and used resourcefully
- Maintain kitchen appliances and work surfaces to the required hygiene standards
- Report any serious incidents, such as equipment failure or food safety issues, to the head or sous chef.

**Kitchen Porter Requirements**:

- No formal qualification is required, but previous kitchen or cleaning experience is a plus
- Ability to work in a high-pressure environment
- Understanding of food safety practices
- Excellent time-management skills
- Team spirit and good communication abilities

**Physical Requirements**:

- Prolonged periods standing and cleaning procedures.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
- Must be able to work in a kitchen environment that may involve exposure to extreme heat or cold.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.49-$19.61 per hour

Flexible language requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- On call
- Weekends as needed

Work Location: In person

Expected start date: 2025-04-15
