Conditions of Employment:

Qualifications:
Essnetial:
- Post secondary degree related to Public Administration, Business Administration or Planning preferably at the masters level or an equivalent combination of other post-secondary education, training and experience may be considered.
- Extensive experience conducting research, analysis, evaluation and policy formulation at a senior level.
- Demonstrated ability to think critically and provide advice to senior leadership in the organization.
- Considerable experience coordinating the development and implementation of corporate-wide policy initiatives, programs or projects within the organization.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills for building and maintaining positive working relationships and partnerships with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong political acumen for navigating sensitive and confidential issues with tact and discretion.
- Strong verbal communication skills for effectively communicating with various levels within and outside the organization.
- Strong written communication skills for preparing various documents for executive decision-makers and various audiences.
- Ability to work independently within a changing work environment.
- Excellent organizational skills for managing competing and rapidly changing priorities, heavy caseloads with strict timelines.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams with a demonstrated ability to build, motivate and accomplish goals using a team approach.
- Strong facilitation skills, including the ability to plan and deliver public engagement and consultation processes.
**Duties**:
Reporting to the Assistant Deputy Minister of System Performance Accountability Division and working closely with branch heads in the division, leads in other divisions, and key education system stakeholders, the Strategic Lead supports the development of policy and processes to address system-wide challenges. Major responsibilities include initiating and maintaining cross
- divisional/sectoral partnerships to facilitate system-level policy and planning; leading and coordinating corporate planning; leading policy and process improvements; and maintaining overall oversight of the division’s projects in relation to divisional priorities.
