**What you will do**:

- Work on scope, definition, and design solution offerings; develop and drive end-to-end technical solutions for Rogers Wireless Networks
- Provide Expert Level support to Platform Specialists for issue resolution and lead the teams during emergency recovery of Critical network issues.
- Be responsible to lead handovers from project into support function
- Perform end to end investigation of faults/cause relating to system/network issues
- Lead the investigation to solve the 4G/5G Core signalling & support issues, contribution to work around and resolution, collaboration with Vendors and Engineering to drive and identify the root cause of issues
- Develop a deep understanding of the products/solutions and be able to consult on the responsible domain/products
- Own Problem Management process for unresolved network issues and work directly with vendors and external groups to formulate solutions to technical issues.
- Provide Operational Support for Trials and Acceptance testing. Ensure that junior staff have the knowledge and resources required to perform testing of new RAN Technologies, acceptance checks and tasks.
- Operationalize Emerging Technologies and contribute to the creation of process and procedures/troubleshooting documentation for emerging Wireless Access technologies like Cloud RAN, 5G NR, IoT etc.
- Provide Guidelines, best practices documentation, dispatch guidelines and liaise with Technology/Engineering/vendors for recommendations and Technical guidelines.
- Perform a lead role in the automation of preventive and corrective routines/procedures for RAN network.
- Assist the Field Operations groups based on industry/vendor best practices for Operation & Maintenance of 5G NR, LTE, UMTS/HSPA and GSM platforms.
- Responsible for handling escalations, act as the go to technical expert and able to work after hours as required.
- Some traveling will be required

**What you bring**:

- Minimum of Ten years of experience in the telecommunications industry with at least five years of field experience on LTE, UMTS/HSPA and GSM Radio Access Networks.
- University Degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Telecommunication or equivalent.
- Extensive Hands-on experience and advanced knowledge of Ericsson AXE/CPP platforms, Ericsson RNC, BSC, eNodeB, NodeB and GSM RBS is required.
- Ability to direct and lead Emergency Recovery teams in resolving critical network failures.
- Good understanding of 3GPP specifications and RAN protocols, ability to perform in depth protocol analysis and troubleshoot problems on 5G NR, LTE, UMTS interfaces.
- In-depth knowledge of 5G NR, LTE, UMTS/HSPA and GSM KPIs, counters, optimization parameters and their impact on network performance
- Knowledge of several disciplines across Wireless Access Operations is required: Protocol Analysis, Project Management, Process Development, RAN Engineering, Scripting, Perl, Shell, Python and Automation.
- Advanced level skills in using tools like Tektronix, NetScout, Wireshark, Splunk, Business Intelligence etc.
- Strong knowledge of current and evolving Network Management principles, IP networks and protocols, routing, switching (OSPF, BGP, MPLS, VLAN, TCP/IP, UDP).
- An effective and capable written, verbal, and interpersonal communicator with strong organizational skills
- Proven leadership skills and the ability to motivate teams. Exceptional abilities at mentoring and engaging others, empowering teams, and inspiring them to excellence
- Ability to work independently and within a team during extremely challenging incidents and change implementation situations
