We are seeking a permanent, full time Chef de Cuisine to join our team. This position is currently five days per week, Wednesday - Sunday. We offer benefits after a six-month probationary period, as well as staff meals during and beverages provided at the end of your shift. Compensation is between $60,000 to $80,000 per year depending on the skills and experience you bring.
We are looking for someone whose passion for creating flavourful sensations shines through in their work.
You should:
- have knowledge of classic scratch cooking
- be able to cook all stations through the kitchen
- be able to fully prepare all dishes on the menu
- be able to come up with ideas/create new dishes alongside our Executive Chef
You have been working in this field for a **minimum of eight years** or equivalent experience, and although not strictly necessary, experience in a fine dining establishment is a bonus.
You must be:
- Responsible
- Organized
- capable of managing the operations of the restaurant
- prepared to assist in food and labour cost control
- able to train and supervise kitchen staff
- ensure cleanliness and order is maintained in the kitchen
- be responsible for mise en place and service
You are professional and responsive to guest needs including understanding the role ingredients play in a wide variety of dietary and lifestyle restrictions. You will be able to represent us and our brand fully at the table when needed, no matter how busy or what time of day it is. You will need to manage more than one food program at once; and so we require someone who can think on their feet and stay organized through a very fast paced environment.
