**About SkyAlyne**
SkyAlyne is a team of defence, training, simulation, and aviation industry experts assembled from across Canada, working to prepare the next generation of RCAF Pilots and Aircrew as the Future Aircrew Training (FAcT) program provider for the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF). SkyAlyne was formed in 2018 as a partnership between CAE and KF Aerospace, two Canadian aviation, training, and defence leaders. The partnership was built to jointly answer the call for the Government of Canada’s FAcT program. In 2023 SkyAlyne was named the preferred bidder, and in 2024, was officially contracted to partner with the RCAF and deliver the FAcT program. We are now building a new team to deliver the FAcT program.
The scope of the FAcT program includes all training and in-service support requirements needed to prepare Pilots, Air Combat Systems Officers, and Airborne Electronic Sensor Operators to meet the future aerospace requirements of the RCAF. The FAcT program is overseen from a Joint Management Office at SkyAlyne’s Ottawa headquarters in Kanata, with three operational bases: Moose Jaw, SK, Southport, MB, and Winnipeg, MB.
In collaboration with the Government of Canada and several major Canadian subcontractors, Team SkyAlyne will provide live-flying, simulator and classroom-based training, facilities construction and management, information management and information technology support, site support services, aircraft maintenance and much more.

**Job Overview**
The Risk Management Specialist will be responsible for the identification, assessment, and governance of risk and opportunity management for both the FAcT Program and SkyAlyne enterprise. The Risk Management Specialist will be required to liaise with internal and external stakeholders to define risks, mitigation plans, and impact assessments, following up as required to ensure effectiveness and completion. The Risk Management Specialist will support the establishment of best practices, collaborating with PMO (Project Management Office) resources and cross-functional leaders, to drive a consistent and robust risk management process.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Proactively identify, assess and monitor risk, issue and opportunity registers.
- Complete analysis of identified risks to determine their priority, likelihood of occurrence, and potential impact on the organization.
- Conduct day to day stakeholder communications to collaborate within the organization in regard to risk assessments and mitigation plans.
- Lead and coordinate risk management governance meetings liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
- Report on risk and opportunity exposure, mitigation efforts, and resource coordination while collaborating with PMO resources and cross-functional teams.
- Develop and monitor impact assessments across a multi-functional / disciplinary team.
- Develop and refine best practices and training of PMO resources and cross-functional teams in collaboration with the PMO team.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards related to risk management processes.
- Contribute to documenting processes specific to PMO’s knowledge and resources.
- Other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications and Experience**
- Project Management Professional (PMP®) Certification or Project Management (Prince2®) Certification.
- Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP®) Certification would be an asset.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, a comparable post-secondary education, or a suitable mixture of education combined with an extensive business background.
- Minimum of 5 years of project and/or program management experience in a large multi-project or multi-program within a Government of Canada or aviation industry, with experience in both environments to be considered asset.
- Strong collaboration skills and a demonstrated ability to lead, influence, build and focus multi-disciplinary teams.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Have exceptional communication skills, with proven experience building strong relationships with teams, stakeholders, and external partners.
- Be a confident, results-oriented leader with experience mentoring cross-functional team members on risk management best practices.
- Experience in the Defence and Aerospace industries would be an asset.
- Be able to hold a Government of Canada Security Clearance (Secret level) and Controlled Goods Clearance.
- Eligible to work in Canada.
- Strong oral and written English language capabilities.
- Fluency in French would be an asset.
