Your Mission, Should You Choose to Accept It:
As a CNC Setter Operator you'll perform the duties of the position for the production of products for our customers. Work must be done in a safe and efficient manner and comply with all Stackpole International’s Health & Safety policies, procedures and quality systems. Working knowledge with SPS, 5S and Continuous Improvement (CI) activities are required. What You’ll Be Doing:
- Ensure machines are setup to machine the required parts- Install and remove spindle chucks, collets, drawbars, spindle adaptors and cutting tools as necessary- Index cutting inserts and make size change adjustments to machines as required- Load and unload parts on machines to maintain required production levels- Chart SPC data as determined by process sheet specifications- Ensure that the requirements of the Quality Management System and Environmental Health & Safety Systems are met.- Other duties as required.

What We’re Looking For:

- Education and/or Experience:_- High School diploma or equivalent- Computer Numerical Control Machining Program Certificate in progress
- Qualifications:_- Must have working knowledge of machining principles and practices- Familiar with CNC controls and programming techniques- Experience working in a manufacturing environment, in the automotive industry is an asset.- Good mathematical and analytical skills- Knowledge of conventional machine methods is an asset- Good interpersonal skills. Able to work well independently or in a team environment- Good communication skills- Strong work ethic and organizational skills- Ability to multi-task in a fast pace environment while maintaining quality.
- Language Skills:_- Proficient in English (both spoken and written)
- Work Environment (including Physical Demands):_- Work indoors. Environment can be noisy and dealing with different temperatures (i.e extreme heat)- Ability to lift a maximum of 30lbs- Work shifts may include days, afternoons, nights or continental- Ability to stand and walk for long periods at a time- Able to work overtime when required/requested

Bonus Points If You Have:

- Experience with SPS, 5S, or Continuous Improvement activities
- Previous experience handling hazardous waste in an industrial setting
