**Program Director (Jr. Head Staff)** Seasonal Role - 8 weeks during the summer, plus pre-camp training **Salary**: $5000-$6000 (based on qualifications and experience) Qualifications: 2-4 years of Camp experience, Minimum 1 year experience in Program Planning, ECE or teaching experience preferred. **Program Director Role**: The Program Director is one of (if not the) most integral elements of a Summer Camp’s success any given Summer. You are responsible for both the overall structure of camp on a daily/weekly basis, as well as the organization of “special goodness” or special theme days that provide campers with long-lasting memories. A great program director organically interfaces with the camp director on a daily basis and is never afraid to ask for help/guidance when needed. The Program Director should be an excellent time manager and get as much work done in advance of pre-camp training (have theme day/weeks already selected and organize as many special program days possible) to ensure time can be spent elsewhere during the Summer months. The more that gets done in advance of the Summer, the easier (and more organized) the Summer will be. As Program Director, you will report directly to the Camp Director and advise them of any changes/updates that are made to the camp program. You will have scheduled meetings with the Camp Director as outlined by the Camp Director. **Job Duties**: Camp Theme Week/Day Schedule - Weekly themes & Dress-up days All-day/Half-day program - Program Themes, program intro’s/breaks Create all-day program “booklet” containing schedules, activity write-up/rotations, staff assignments so that the program director does not have to be answering questions “all - day long” Meet with staff in advance of special program days to carefully explain activities/expectations/assignments Daily/weekly activity rotation schedules Morning flagpole organization - announcements, songs, skits Afternoon “Tree” organization - announcements, songs, skits Supervision of Heads of Special Activities - Unless there is a Head Specialist role Organization of “Beach Days” and “Rainy Days” on extremely hot days of the Summer Assist the director with the scheduling and delivery of necessary pre-camp staff training activities. Hobby Hub and Parent’s Night organization and staff assignments Schedule overnight trips and assist Tripper in organizing overnight activity programming Organize Staff Recreational activities/Nights Out Organize pre camp staff social Staff Duty assignments (AM camper drop-off, parking lot duty, tunnel duty) Create and distribute news letter (Katonim Kronical), assist with social media.
