**Community Engagement Educator - Part Time**

- **You have your own pet or access to a pet suitable for school visitations *Your pet will attend presentations with you and must pass a behavior assessment conducted by our Animal Care Team**
**What You’ll be Doing Day-to-Day**:
- Delivering presentations aligned with the current curriculum within schools and community spaces such as libraries, seniors centres and more
- Interacting with audiences of all ages from school-aged children to seniors
- Working with the Manager, Education on the development of new educational materials
- Attending additional school focused events (career fairs, school fairs, etc)
- Identifying new educational opportunities within our Perth County communities
- Supporting our Community Programs team with in-centre programming (ie. Homeschool Program)
- Attending community events or initiatives and educating community members about our programs and services
- Maintaining our core values through all program delivery
- Being a positive advocate of the Humane Society with teachers, parents and the public
- Maintaining a professional appearance and friendly demeanor at all times

This is a part time role, up to 16 hours per week, with July and August off. Access to a reliable vehicle is required as travel is necessary to perform the job duties. Travel will be within Perth County, as well as some travel to Waterloo Region locations to support the Kitchener Waterloo team.
**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $17.46-$21.34 per hour
Expected hours: 16 per week
Flexible language requirement:
- French not required
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
