**What you will do**
You will be a part of a dynamic child care community and create a stimulating, safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow. This will be achieved though planning and implementation of a consist child-centred curriculum in accordance with YMCA curriculums _Playing to Learn and A Place to Connect_. You are pivotal in protecting and enhancing children’s play experiences. Observing being sensitively involved and carefully guiding extending and scaffolding play are all part of a play partners ‘s responsibility. You create a sense of belonging through relationships, building trusted connections with children, their peers and families to support development and wellbeing.
**What you will bring**
Ideally, you have completed an **Early Childhood Education diploma** program and be registered with College of Early Childhood Educators. Other credentials will also be considered (i.e. Recreation & Leisure, Child & Youth Worker, Ontario College of Teachers, or Social Services Worker). You have experience working with children in a child-centred curriculum setting. You are committed to working in a socially inclusive environment responding with sensitivity and personal awareness to diverse needs. You have well-developed interpersonal and relationship building skills; the ability to use good judgement and problem-solve; and strong professional conduct. You have up-to-date Standard First Aid and CPR (Level C) certification, successful completion of Vulnerable Police Records Check within the last 6 months, and up-to-date immunizations including a TB test (only required in the Waterloo Region locations).
